Conceptual Thoughts: Relativity in Everyday Life

"Conceptual Thoughts: Relativity in Everyday Life" will provoke you into examining your life, which is what Socrates believed made life worth living.

The biggest profundity for me in rewriting this book was that conceptual thinking cannot be taught; it must be learned if it is to be developed.

Here is an excerpt from the foreword by Michael Petrovich:
"Tom ingeniously introduces the fusion of philosophy and physics as a means to gain deeper insights into our intricate world. Indeed, the title “Relativity”, should be a giveaway.  Both philosophy and physics deal with questions about knowledge, truth, and how we understand the world.  Philosophers explore the nature of knowledge, the limits of our understanding, and the methods by which we acquire knowledge.  The field of physics is a scientific discipline that also seeks to understand the world.  While philosophers use discussion and debate, physicists use the scientific method.  Physicists create mathematical models that describe the nature of our universe.  Those mathematical models create a mental framework that helps us understand our reality.  Tom then poses the question; Can those models, born from the meticulous rigor of physics, contribute to the enrichment of our philosophy of life?"
